In their handsomely-restored 19th-century Greek revival home on a perfect
July evening, Richard Perlman and his wife Ellen Hanson hosted a dinner
party for three dozen special guests. Richard and Ellen wanted to celebrate
with their friend Charlie Trotter who was in the Hamptons that weekend for a
special recognition by the James Beard Foundation.
Guests enjoyed champagne and Trotter-prepared appetizers by the poolside garden. Later, meals were prepared in the downstairs "dirty kitchen" by the
wine cellar using a custom-colored TurboChef oven. Two long and rustic
dinner tables were shared by guests, candlelight, a four course meal,
exquisite wine and superb camaraderie.

Family and friends accounted for the majority of the guest list but there were a few well-known faces in the crowd as well, including Martha Stewart,
who came to investigate the TurboChef oven for herself.
Chef Charlie Trotter was in the neighborhood to receive a special honor from the James Beard Foundation Award - both celebrating their 20th
anniversaries. He and his team prepared a remarkable five-course feast for 36 using the TurboChef oven in only 90 minutes.

Chef Trotter prepared a signature four-star meal for three-dozen with grace, efficiency and speed. The results left guests amazed and delighted.
