“Who has time to cook these days?”
“I just think that more people would cook at home for their family if
they could do it more conveniently. This is the only piece of cooking
equipment we've ever gotten behind. In the day and age where we have less
time to cook but we still want extraordinary restaurant-like results, it's
[the TurboChef oven] is pretty incredible. You can literally cook something
in a fraction of the time but with all the things we love from a restaurant
standpoint. In the past five and half years of cooking with TurboChef I can
tell you it allows to achieve the things we need to achieve at a four-star
restaurant.”
“In the restaurant...it would take about 45 minutes to do a rack of lamb
properly. We're going to cook the lamb for six minutes. And it's going to be
perfectly cooked, medium-rare, brown and golden and crispy around the edges,
but completely, perfectly succulent on the inside. Rack of lamb with side
dishes of eggplant and fennel wrapped in prosciutto in all of eight
minutes? That's pretty phenomenal. ”
“Obviously it’s beautiful.”
“These ovens are fantastic. You look at something like this and it's very
sleek and very modern. On the other hand though, it has sort of a comforting
look as well. I've got friends that like to put in a real old fashioned
stove in their kitchen along with all the other modern appliances and put
something like this in. It fits right in. Or, people that put in
state-of-the-art, modern cooking equipment and, at the same time, this can
still fit.”
“It's really quite simple. Let's say we
go to the supermarket and buy a beef tenderloin.
We'd punch in beef, then we'd punch in the
weight. You put that in and it's done in
minutes, perfectly cooked. It tells you exactly
how long to put this in. So many recipes are
programmed into the oven already. And there is
the ability to program your own recipes. Let's
say we go to the supermarket and buy a five
pound beef tenderloin. We'd punch in beef, then
we'd punch in the weight and we'd punch in the
degree of doneness that we want. You want it
cooked medium? Want it cooked medium rare?
Whatever you like. You put that in and it's done
in 12 minutes, perfectly cooked. It tells you
exactly how long to put this in. All programmed,
thousands of recipes are programmed into the
oven already. And there is the ability to
program your own recipes.”
